Thursday 19th December: Arctic: Our Frozen Planet

At the very top of the globe, lies a spectacular, frozen realm. But don’t be fooled by appearances…this place is not frozen in time. It’s a dynamic ecosystem and for thousands of years, its indigenous people and wildlife have found ways to survive and live in harmony with these extremes.

Embark on a yearlong adventure across the seasons and three continents. Be immersed in the astounding world of narwhals, belugas and polar bears as they navigate ice floes. Hear the thunderous sound of stampeding caribou and muskox trying to escape hungry wolves. Be amazed by hooded seals that blow up red balloons and ice-covered bumblebees that emerge glorious from their winter lairs.

As the planet’s climate is experiencing rapid changes, so is the Arctic. But the changes here are happening faster and more dramatically than anywhere else. Can it keep pace?

Thursday 27th March: Junkerry’s Together Apart

Junkerry’s Together Apart is a multi-sensory journey, composed in cutting-edge spatial audio technology, with visuals conceived for planetariums, giant screen theatres and museums.

The immersive feast conveys powerful positive messages through music, songs, and spoken voices. Junkerry’s swirl of ambient throb, soulful pop, classical Indian and jazz envelops you from every angle, shifting you to unexpected spaces.

Bringing this show to fruition has been an incredible journey. It began in 2020 when we conducted interviews on Belonging, Loneliness, Inclusion and Togetherness with a diverse group of children, artists, philosophers and friends. With those insights, Junkerry wrote a 50 minute score, in five chapters, recorded 10 incredible musicians hailing from 8 countries, then collaborated with an all female team of visual artists, who each brought their own unique perspective to a chapter.

The magic of “Together Apart” is intended to nurture a sense of unity and designed to encourage us to absorb culture through meaningful shared experiences.
