Description

Original songs about London, performed by a community choir, soloists & primary school children in Market Hall’s historic listed mainspace.

The London Songs is a collection of original material written by Sian Jamison, a Plymouth based musician and composer.

Sian has always been fascinated by the history and evocations of place and in these songs she uses her creative and musical skills to bring London’s landmarks and secret corners to life in song! We travel from Trafalgar Square down the Thames to Greenwich and back to Marble Arch with various stop offs on the way. Come along and be transported on a musical journey through the streets of London from Roman times to the 21st century and meet the colourful characters whose stories will be told.

The songs will be performed by a large community choir who will be joined by soloists and a children’s choir from Widey Court Primary School supported by instrumentalists.
