Delve into the world of artistry and craftsmanship as you explore a diverse array of printmaking techniques guided by Ocean Studios’ own artists and printmakers.
With a glass of bubbly prosecco in hand, you’ll have the opportunity to mingle and connect with fellow art enthusiasts, forging new friendships amidst laughter and creativity.

S essions are from 6.30pm to 8.30pm
S ession 1: Wednesday 20th September, 6.30pm to 8.30pm
This session we will focus on using Gelli Plates to print textures, stencils, and photo transfers. It’s fun, fast and experimental.
S ession 2: Saturday 28th October, 6.30pm to 8.30pm
In this session you will learn how create Intaglio prints using a drypoint process.
You will be exploring mark-making, inking up and printing on our flatbed presses.
Drypoint Etching is a versatile method of print production which does not rely on metal plates and Acid but will still give Intaglio style results. We use clear plastic plates to draw on with drypoint needles. We use Caligo safe wash Etching Inks on good quality German Etching paper. A fun way to begin to explore the mysteries of Etching and hopefully wet your appetite for more.
S ession 3: Wednesday 15th November, 6.30pm to 8.30pm
In this session you will be exploring the world of mono printing
You will learn how to use mark making, stencilling, and layering colours and shapes to make poster size original prints.
Session 4: Wednesday 13th December, 6.30pm to 8.30pm
In this Christmas special workshop, you will have the opportunity to create your own “DONT KNOW WHAT YETS” printing your own unique design for a Christmas gift or your own your own gallery wall.
Welcoming all creatives from novice to experienced, come to this unique workshop that gives you an opportunity to produce something truly special.
Whilst drinking Prosecco, listening to Christmas music and enjoying other Christmas treats.
Cost: £30 per head (includes all materials and glass of Prosecco)
